Drug Detox Symptoms

Drug Detox Withdrawal Symptoms

Drug detox symptoms can vary depending on your addiction.

Drug detox is the process of addressing the physical aspects of drug addiction which most often includes dependence and physical changes that occur within the body when an individual is addicted to drugs. During drug detox, harmful toxins are eliminated from the body and all physical dependence on drugs is also eliminated. Unfortunately, addicts will feel a range of mild, to moderate or even severe symptoms associated with the drug detox process. These symptoms are known as withdrawal symptoms and can become life threatening, may cause the individual to relapse or could result in suicidal thoughts when left untreated. This is why it is so important for addicts to attend drug detox at a qualified drug detox center, for the safety of themselves and for the safety of those around them.

This can result in depression that is usually minor to moderate but in extreme circumstances may even become severe.

Muscle, Bone or Joint Pain:

Sweats, Fever or Chills:
Sweats and chills are some of the most common symptoms of drug detox felt by nearly any addict who tries to stop using drugs. In most cases, these symptoms are not dangerous but in the event that fever becomes too high it can be very dangerous for the addict.
